I've been reading people's responses to this question and they've been writing stuff down that they should be doing anyway, stuff like 'spending time with my friends and family', 'telling my parents I love them'. You know what? Life IS short and you don't know what's going to happen so you should really be saying stuff like that all the time.
The fact it just came up as 'view 666 answers' - eek
I grew up with Harry Potter. I started reading the series when I was 13 and absolutely loved it. I always thought it was too young for me and so didn't start reading it when it first came out but finally decided to give it a go and was hooked within about 2 pages. I love the escapism of it and so The Philosopher's Stone will always have a special place in my heart but my favourite has got to be The Prisoner of Azkaban followed very closely by The Goblet of Fire. I thought these were much better written and I loved all the action in it. Plus Goblet was longer than the first three and it hadn't quite got to the quantity over quality part of her writing.
I love Harry :D
Wow, this could have been written by me. I'm going to be really predictable and say Spike but Dracula would be pretty awesome. I love vampires :D

Well, that's easy - Veronica Mars. Although you could probably include in that Temperance Brennan both the book and tv versions because even though she is a forensic anthropologist she is pretty much a detective as well. Also you could probably stick Cordelia Chase in there from Angel because she does work for a detective agency...albeit a supernatural one!

Again, this is an easy answer... Veronica Mars!
I used to watch Dumbo and The Princess Bride over and over again. I still adore Princess Bride. It's one of the best movies ever ever!
Yes loads. If you call them 'celebrities'. They're all people from my favourite TV shows so no A List celebs, unless you count those I briefly spoke to at the BAFTAs. I love meeting actors.

10 best things I've done this year:
1. Graduated
2. Conventions (that should probably take up more than 1 slot...): Serenity Complete, Breakout Beyond, Battlestar Starfury
3. Meeting my M.E friends
4. Making new M.E friends
5. Holiday to Dorset
6. Glastonbury - it was incredibly difficult and I didn't enjoy myself as much as I wanted to but I survived. And that's the main thing! Can't believe I'm being made to go next year though, everyone tells me it'll be better cos there'll be more people to carry things/me.
7. Reached my 50 book target and beyond (currently at 65)
OK, 7 best things. I honestly can't remember what I've done this year. I should keep a diary next year...not that I have time!
Hope everyone has a lovely Christmas and an even better 2009.

I went to see Twilight today. It was ok. I was a bit disappointed to be honest. I thought it was cast well and some of the scenes were done well (my favourite scene was the baseball game, my fave bit in the book) but it drew attention to how unoriginal the story is. It's all been done before and done better in Buffy, and my boyfriend said there was a definite Lost Boys moment in it (not a good one!) It just didn't keep my attention. And the Cullens had hardly any lines which was really disappointing. They really rushed the ending.
It's such a shame. I hope it doesn't ruin vampire films/literature. There need to be more novels like Fledgling by Octavia Butler.
Also it didn't help that the cinema was full of young teenage girls squealing every time Robert/Edward was on screen. And the row of girls behind us would not stop talking throughout the whoooole film. It was so annoying. I just wanted to turn round and tell them to shut the fuck up and read Dracula.
This is the thing I hate about Twilight, the sudden teen obsession with vampires because y'know, like, they're sooo misunderstood and like dark.
It was far too cheesey. That said, it wasn't absolutely terrible. It doesn't deserve the cult following it has, and I'm being harsh because I did like it. I just know what else is out there!

That's a hard questions because I love the mountains in Summer and Winter. Most of my Austrian family live by the mountains and they're so pretty to walk around. But unfortunately now I can't walk up them and I can't ski because my leg muscles are so weak. And I love the sea because it can be really calming and then just suddenly change, probably like me!
So in the long run I'd probably say by the sea but go to the mountains for holidays!!

This is kind of a stupid question for me to answer because I think the answer is prettty obvious:
FIREFLY!!!
Buffy (at least Buffy had a good run!)
Veronica Mars
P.S. I'm off to a Battlestar convention tomorrow, which I'm both looking forward to and dreading as I'm feeling really ill at the moment and don't know if I have the energy for it! But am looking forward to the break from work, well I hope it'll be a break from work - im taking some with me.

Today I started my Masters at uni and I was really nervous about it (even though I'm back at my last uni) because it was a really long day. But I really enjoyed it and I found out that I was nominated by all my tutors for the Literature Prize which is given out to one Literature Graduate. I was so pleased because I have worked incredibly hard these past three years and have basically put my social life on hold to focus my energies on my course. It's so nice to have that kind of recognition. Apparently I'll get a cash prize as well, not a big one but I don't care about the money! I'll get handed the award at my graduation ceremony in November.

Last week, we went to a fancy dress party - the theme was 80s cartoons. So at the last minute, Dan decided he wanted to go as Optimus Prime (his childhood hero!) I'd already decided to go as Penny Crayon (if you don't know who she is, look her up. It was one of my fave cartoons as a kid.) We had two days to do it, and this is what happened. We looked on the net for inspiration but most of the costumes said they took weeks to make and they were ridiculously intricate. We just wanted it to vaguely look like OP! So this is how we started:

Helloo everyone!
I haven't posted for like...ever ;-) because I'm very busy with uni and when I'm not I'm resting. But just wanted to come along and say it's M.E Awareness Week so please spread the word or visit www.ayme.org.uk to make a donation or have a look around!
M.E is a very debilitating illness that I have had to live with for over 7 years. It's not fun and I have learned to live with it, but it is still very misunderstood. The more people know about it, the more research will be done to try to find a cause and hopefully a cure.
Thanks for reading.
On other news: finished 2 exams now, only one left and I have finished my degree - how scary is that?!!?

I am soooo excited about the Serenity Complete line up. Summer Glau has just been announced as the headline guest. Along with those already announced: Adam Baldwin, Alan Tudyk, Jamie Bamber, Mark Sheppard, W Morgan Sheppard and Nicky Clyne. I just reeeeally hope it stays like that and none of them cancel at the last minute!
